Join a group of up to 5 participants for an engaging, community-driven workout experience, where each member receives customized attention from our expert trainers.
Join us every Saturday at 8:30 am for our signature class. You will start off with a warm up and mobility, fire up and enhance your core strength, and end with a long 20-25 min AMRAP style workout that will leave you feeling challenged and accomplished! First class FREE! (Local residents only).
Our Youth Training programs focus on fundamental movement and motor development for beginners, as well as advanced athletic training for young athletes looking to gain a competitive edge.

Emily Kiernan - Owner
Hi everyone! I’m Emily, owner of Empowered Strength & Movement. I grew up in Indiana and moved to Florida, where I attended the University of Tampa for my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science/Allied Health and my Masters degree in Exercise & Nutrition Science. I have a love for human movement and have a history of participating in gymnastics, track & field, softball, volleyball, triathlons, CrossFit and anything fitness! My passion is to help people move better and stronger so that you can be the best version of yourself!

Mackenzie Haupt - Personal Training Manager
Hi I’m Kenzie! Originally from Iowa, I got my undergrad in Athletic Training at Simpson College, where I also played college basketball. That’s where I fell in love with all things fitness. I continued my education at the University of Tampa and completed my M.S. in Exercise and Nutrition. I’ve been with Empowered since 2019 as a personal trainer and group fitness coach. I can’t wait to help you reach your goals!

Ryan Freligh
Hi there, my name’s Ryan! I’m a Tampa Bay native with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Central Florida.
With an extensive history in athletics – both competing and coaching – I’ve had the privilege of training people of all ages and backgrounds. From individuals on the autism spectrum, to military personnel, first-responders, youth, and the elderly, it’s always a joy training someone from a different walk of life.
With my training rooted in a sports-performance approach, I provide people with the knowledge, tools and skills needed for success in and outside the gym. I look forward to aiding you on your fitness journey!
